SA Youth believes everyone deserves a second chance at success. This is why we offer young adults, ages 16 to 24, who have previously quit school, the opportunity to complete their education by earning a high school diploma or GED through our YouthBuild program. Students in our YouthBuild program also receive workforce training and certification in construction. And, it’s free!
When not enrolled in academic classes, members work on projects that help them acquire valuable work skills that lead to future employment, while simultaneously benefiting the community. Members learn to building energy-efficient homes that are sold to low-income, first-time home buyers.
Today, graduates of YouthBuild are employed in various jobs throughout the Alamo City and are happily earning paychecks to support themselves and their families.
