Prevention Programs

SCHOOL-AGE TARGET POPULATION: SA Youth prevention, youth development and education enrichment services target school age youth attending high needs schools and living in low income neighborhoods with the primary purpose of preventing youth from dropping out of school and participating in negative activities during the critical out-of-school-time (OST).

PREVENTION: These programs serve to prevent kids from dropping out of school and help them succeed and stay in school. These programs must be viewed as more than “after school programs” that simply provide a safe place while parents are still working. Although these programs are offered during the non-school hours, they have a strong focus on youth development and enrichment, learning and outcomes, not “after school care”. Programs are exempt from licensing, SA Youth prevention programs are provide in the evening throughout the school year and throughout the summer months. Our provention program services children from age five (5) to eighteen (18) and do not charge fees for services.
