SA Youth’s Prevention, Educational Enrichment, and Youth Development programs provide a diversion and outlet designed to prevent school-age children and youth from negative behaviors while also promoting academic success. SA Youth’s centers provide free, safe places, caring adults, and positive activities during the out-of-school time when juvenile crime and delinquency peak.

SA Youth helps to close the gap during the out-of-school time by providing safe places, caring adults, and constructive learning activities at nine locations in highly distressed neighborhoods in San Antonio.
SA Youth not only provides a diversion for urban youth, but also promotes skills, talents, and learning objectives that prepare youth for successful entry into adulthood.
SA Youth’s prevention programs through our centers offer the following activities and services:
These services are funded through private donations, foundations, corporations, the Texas Education Agency, the US Department of Education, the Texas Department of Health and Human Services, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, the City of San Antonio, and the United Way.
All centers and programs are FREE to eligible participants.
These centers operate year-round, approximately 5 hours a day during the fall and spring, and 10-12 hours a day during the summer.
