HIGH SCHOOL DROP-OUTS: SA Youth targets unemployed high school drop outs from low-income families living in low-income neighborhoods. Through SA Youth, youth are afforded the opportunity to work toward attainment of a GED or High School Diploma while participating in workforce training and community service.
We offer three pathways to allow members of SA Youth’s YouthBuild programs an opportunity to succeed in different trades.
Through SA Youth’s construction pathway, we build homes for the benefit of low-income residents.
Through SA Youth’s technology pathway, we refurbish computers for the benefit of low-income families participating in our services while also employing AmeriCorps members to train in a technology trade.
Through our newest environmental pathway, we give participants the opportunity to learn skills that will lead to
employment in the Green Jobs sector.
RECOVERY: This program serves as a recovery program for youth who have already dropped out of school so they can have a second chance at success.
RESULTS MATTER: 80% of all participants who enter our program have historically completed.
