Melissa Zarb-Cousin

Chief of Staff

Melissa was born and raised in San Antonio. She is an avid cyclist, spending time on her road bike in the evening and weekends. She loves her Schnoodle, Eva, enjoys brunching on the weekends and is a huge Stephen King fan. Melissa's work with nonprofits started with answering phones for Magik Theatre. In her five years with the organization, she wore many hats. It was there that she realized her passion for nonprofits that cater to children in San Antonio. Wanting sometime in the classroom, Melissa received her Teacher Certification through TEA and served as Department Head and Theatre Director for Madison High School.

Why do you work for SA Youth: "Knowing you're making a difference in a child's life means knowing you're making the world a better place. Children do not need to be at the mercy of their circumstance. SA Youth is a place where they can be inspired, encouraged, validated, and most importantly, enabled to succeed."
