She and her husband then moved to Minneapolis where she worked at Dollars for Scholars and was involved in the city’s thriving professional theatre community, as a commercial actress.

Kim Hinze is a veteran in the non-profit sector, she has over 15 years of experience in the industry. Her career began out of college with Susan G. Komen San Antonio and served 11 years with the organization. During her tenure at Komen, she managed the affiliate's largest fundraising event, Race for the Cure. Hinze also has an extensive background in special events, marketing and communications, and donor relations.
