OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME PROGRAM
Quality out-of-school (OST) time programs reduce the number of school-aged children who become involved with negative behaviors and promote academic success. SA Youth’s OST program takes place after school and during the summer for youth between the ages of 5 and 13.
Our site locations operate four to five hours during the school year and up to ten hours over the summer and select school holidays. SA Youth provides a safe place, caring adults, and positive youth development programs during the out-of-school time hours when juvenile delinquency and other risky behaviors can occur.
SA Youth Out-of-School Time Program is an Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE), administered by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), which provides a structured, safe, and supervised place for learning and social interaction. PREVENTION PROGRAMSA Youth’s Out-of-School Time (OST) Program provides year-round positive youth development programs during non-school hours. We offer an array of OST programs that focus on the academic achievement, character development, and healthy lifestyles of San Antonio’s youth. Our site locations exist to keep children off the streets, out of trouble, and engaged in educational activities. |
