Crystal Cantu
Chief Program Officer

Crystal has been working with children and families for over 18 years. She has held several positions ranging from Direct Care to Program Operations, Risk Management & Compliance. She's worked extensively with diverse programs and populations in challenging circumstances. She believes everyone deserves the chance to reach their full potential, regardless of a person’s background, gender, race, or religion. For fifteen years she has worked for one of the largest nonprofit child care agencies in the country, providing compassionate care for behavioral, emotional, and physical problems of children & families. She was the Senior Director of Program Operations for the Texas Site which served over 3,000 children/families through both prevention and intervention services.

She has led programs evidence-based model of incorporating critical elements such as teaching life-changing skills, building healthy relationships, and empowering good decision-making; all providing valuable tools to succeed in school home and on the job. Crystal has been in a leadership position for sixteen years and has provided oversight for 14 programs. She also has experience in the development, maintenance, and execution of Performance Management Systems to ensure the development of high-performing teams and programs. 

She believes it is essential for an organization to seek out opportunities and strive for excellence by continuously learning, improving, and growing together bit by bit and day by day. Striving to become well-known experts in the community in identifying problems and finding solutions for academic achievement will be at the forefront. Lastly, ensuring high-risk youth and young adults continuously have access to quality programming and educational development, which provide clear pathways to student success & employment thereafter.
